N.B.  Please see our news page for the most recent reports on our shoebox distribution trips.These are Europe’s forgotten children. Many of them have no ID; few go to school; many exist in one-roomed huts made of compacted mud and straw, often in a state of disrepair.

We are fortunate in having developed links with People to People, a registered Romanian charity whose President, Nicu Gal, has been a well known and respected figure throughout Romania since the late 1990s. Nicu is pleased to work with us and to receive our shoeboxes, co-ordinating their distribution, with a team from Cumbria, to children in villages in the Bihor area of north west Romania.  We now have contacts in other parts of Romania, enabling us to reach even more children and their families.
